Nach den Sommerferien standen heute unsere Youth- und Nationalleague Athletinnen und Athleten wieder am Start!. Mit grosser Motivation gaben sie auch heute ihr Bestes!

Three emotional days at my first international championships.
The course was very simple. Swim 300 meters in the warm Banyoles Lake, ride around once and run flat along the shore for another 1600m.
The semi-final on Thursday did not go as hoped. After a bad swim I missed the first group of bikes and had to invest a lot in order not to get even more behind. I only made up a few places in the run and finished twelfth. Huge disappointment followed because I didn't know at that point that I was the last to make it into the Final A.
With a lot of luck I entered the starting pontoon on Friday as the last of 30 athletes. This race went much better, I didn't lose a lot of time in the swim and then I was able to quickly catch up with the big lead group on the bike. After that, tried to save as much energy as possible and rode at the back of the group to the transition area. My legs felt good and I passed more and more athletes and finished ninth in a very strong field. I lost only 16 seconds to the winner.
I'm very happy about this race, that I was able to show my top performance after a bad first race.
It was also a very good team effort, all four Swiss athletes qualified for the A Final over 88 participants and over 30 nations.
The last race was on the program on Saturday. The Mixed Team Relay with Thibault Anouk and Amelie. We all showed a great race which was rewarded with a fourth place.
It was a great experience and definitely one of my highlights of the season.
I met a lot of new people and as a team we also had a good time together.

There are still a few competitions to come, including the last two National League races in Nyon and Yverdon.

Linthathlon 2023 mit SM Team Relay
Wir haben Schweizermeister! Das super Dream Team mit Bastian, Matteo, Salome und Alessia konnten bei der U 18 Kategorie die Goldmedaille holen. Was für ein Erfolg für unser Nachwuchsteam im Mixed Team Relay.
Auch die Age Group war erfolgreich und verpasste mit dem 4. Rang knapp das Podium. Vincent, Ann, Nicole und Rene waren für den Tri Club am Start.
